GCT - Rapid & Blitz Croatia

Rapid: A single round-robin where each player faces every other participant once.​

Blitz: A double round-robin where each player faces every other participant twice.​

Time Controls

Rapid: 25 minutes, with a 10-second increment per move.​

Blitz: 5 minutes, with a 2-second increment per move.​

Tiebreaks (for 1st place)

1. A two-game rapid playoff for a two-way tie or a blitz round-robin if there are three or more.

2. Armageddon resolves persistent ties: White 5 min vs. Black 4 min, 2-s increment from move 61. A draw gives Black the win.

The 2025 SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia is the third event of the Grand Chess Tour season. It features 10 players in a round-robin format, including seven tour regulars and three wildcards, competing for a $175,000 prize fund.
