Boards per match: 8 players per team.

Time control: 100 min/40 moves + 50 min with a 30-second increment from move 1.

The 2025/26 German Chess Bundesliga is scheduled to run from 27 September 2025 to 26 April 2026, with matches held across Germany at the participating clubs’ venues.

This is the top club competition in German chess, featuring 16 elite teams and many of the world’s strongest grandmasters. Matches are classical, team-based events played over weekends throughout the season.
