System: Single-elimination knockout.

Match structure: In Finals, matches include 2 classical games, 2 rapid games, and 4 blitz games.

Scoring:

Classical: 6 points for win, 3 for draw, 0 for loss

Rapid: 4 points for win, 2 for draw, 0 for loss

Blitz: 2 points for win, 1 for draw, 0 for loss

Prize fund: $350,000 USD total for the Finals event.

​The 2025 Grand Chess Tour (GCT) Finals are scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil. This marks the first time the GCT Finals will be held in South America, commemorating the tour's 10th anniversary.

The Finals will feature the top four players from the regular season, competing in knockout matches for a share of the $350,000 prize fund.
