Participants: National teams, each with 4 players plus 1 reserve.

System: Swiss system, 9 rounds.

Boards per match: 4 boards.

Time control: 90 min/40 moves + 30 min with a 30-second increment from move 1.

The 2025 European Team Chess Championship will be held from 5 to 14 October 2025.

This prestigious biennial event brings together national teams from across Europe to compete in a team-based format over nine rounds. It is recognized as one of the strongest international team competitions on the chess calendar.
