Tournament System

Stage 1 - Qualification

13 rounds with a Swiss tournament system, meaning that the pairings are made round by round based on the players rankings/points in the tournament. Top 8 in the tournament go through to the knockout stages.

Stage 2 - Knockout

The top 8 players from stage 1 proceed to a knockout stage with Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and a Final to decide the winner. Each of the knockout stages consist of a mini-match of 4 games. If the score is tied after those 4 games (2-2), they play one game at a time until someone wins.

Time control

3 minutes for the whole game + 2 seconds increment per move
