European Chess Club Cup

Participants: Up to 5 clubs per federation. Each team consists of 6 players and 2 reserves.

System: 7-round Swiss system.

Time Control: Each player has 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move one.

Scoring: 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss.

The European Chess Club Cup 2025 (Open) will take place from October 18 to 26, 2025, in Rhodes, Greece, at the Rodos Palace Conference Hall.

Organized by the European Chess Union (ECU), this 40th edition brings together over 100 of Europe’s strongest club teams, featuring many of the world’s top grandmasters representing their clubs.
