Reykjavik Open

System: 9-round Swiss tournament.​

Time Control: Each player has 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, with an additional 30 minutes for the remainder of the game, plus a 30-second increment per move starting from move one.​

The Reykjavik Open 2025, officially titled the Fridrik Olafsson Birthday Honoring Tournament, is organized by the Icelandic Chess Federation.

Scheduled from April 9 to April 16, 2025, the tournament will be held at the Harpa Conference Center and Music Hall in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland.
