GCT - St. Louis Rapid & Blitz

Participants: 10 players.

Tournament Structure

Rapid: A single round-robin where each player faces every other participant once.​

Blitz: A double round-robin where each player faces every other participant twice.​

Time Controls

Rapid: 25 minutes, with a 10-second increment per move.​

Blitz: 5 minutes, with a 2-second increment per move.​

The Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025 runs August 11–15, 2025, at the Saint Louis Chess Club as the fourth leg of the Grand Chess Tour’s 10th-anniversary season. Ten elite grandmasters will compete for a US $175,000 prize fund and critical tour points.
