My favorite opening move d4! white takes control over the center and is ready to bring the bishop into the game. And don't forget, the queen is defending the pawn.
A french invite
Westrum is allowing Haarr to take control over the center with the king's pawn, is this going to be a French defence?
We could still see a french, but perhaps Haarr has other ideas? The knight move takes control over the center
Westrum really insist on a French. The pawn move takes control over the center.
No French today, instead we are seeing an Jobava London, an aggressive and rather untheoretical opening where white almost always goes for some kind of attack. The bishop targets the c7 pawn, a knight attack is very typical for this line.
The knight is pinned making it unable to move. Perhaps Westrum can increase the pressure soon?
